Poopy Terms of Service
Last updated: August 18, 2025
General Terms
These terms apply only to the official Poopy instance.
If you are using a self-hosted version, please contact that instance’s hoster for accurate information.
By using Poopy, you agree to these terms and to Discord’s Terms of Service.
Media & Content Processing
- Poopy uses tools such as FFmpeg and ImageMagick to process images, videos, and GIFs.
- All processing is automatic and based on user commands. We do not monitor or pre-screen content.
- Processed files may be temporarily cached for technical reasons but are not permanently stored by default.
- Users must ensure they have the rights to upload, modify, and share any media processed by Poopy.
Saving & Processing
- Some features (like enabling message reading or creating custom commands) allow servers to save limited
data. This is optional and must be enabled by server staff.
- User-created custom commands and command templates are saved if a server administrator explicitly enables
these features. Saved commands remain until deleted by the server administrators.
- Temporary runtime data (like cooldowns, exec counts, and message states) exists only in RAM and is
automatically purged.
- Media submitted for processing may be cached while transformations are applied and is then discarded.
- We take no liability for what saved or generated content is used for.
User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for how you use Poopy’s tools and features.
- Respect the rights of content creators when generating, storing, or sharing content. Always credit original
authors when appropriate.
- You are responsible for any custom commands or command templates you create or share. Ensure that they do
not include harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
- Do not use Poopy to violate Discord’s Terms of Service, applicable laws, or server rules.
- When using Poopy for educational purposes, cite sources and respect fair use.
Liability
- Poopy is provided “as is” with no warranties or guarantees.
- We are not responsible for loss of data, misuse of features, or any damage caused by using the bot.
- We are not responsible for misuse of Poopy’s media processing features (e.g., generating offensive or
infringing content).
- All user-generated commands, templates, and outputs are the responsibility of the users and server
administrators who create or enable them.
Reporting Abuse
We do not log message content by default and cannot automatically detect abusive behavior.
However, if you encounter abuse related to Poopy’s official instance, you can report it via the official support
server or by contacting the developer directly.
Abuse reports may include, but are not limited to: generating harmful or offensive media, creating abusive custom
commands, or sharing malicious command templates.
